Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Ornata Pty Ltd ("Ornata", "we", "us") handles personal information collected through www.ornata.ag. We do so in line with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
01 Introduction
Ornata provides a remote farm-operations service. This website lets you enquire about that service and express interest in working with us. We only collect personal information that you choose to give us through these forms, plus limited, privacy-preserving analytics described below.
02 Information we collect
Service enquiries (the contact form): your name, email address, phone number, nearest town/region, the primary operation you're interested in, optional company name and tractor make/model/year, and any message you provide.
Career enquiries (the careers form): your name, email address, optional phone number, what you tell us about yourself, and an optional CV/resume file (PDF).
Analytics: when you visit, our analytics provider processes your IP address and browser user-agent to generate an anonymous, non-reversible daily identifier. We do not use this to identify you and we set no tracking cookies (see section 08).
03 Why we collect it
To respond to your service enquiry, to consider career enquiries, and to understand, in aggregate, how the website is used so we can improve it. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
04 How it is stored and used
Form submissions are delivered to us by email and a notification is posted to our internal team channel. We do not store submissions in a website database. Any CV you attach is delivered as an email attachment; the website server does not retain a copy beyond sending it. Note that copies necessarily persist in our email inbox and team channel once delivered.
We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we handle from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access or disclosure (APP 11), though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
05 Third parties
We use a small number of third-party service providers to run this site (for example, hosting, email delivery, and analytics). We only share the information they need to provide their service.
06 Data retention
We keep enquiry emails for as long as needed to respond and for our reasonable business records (generally up to 2 years), and CVs for up to 6 months unless a longer period is required or you ask us to delete them sooner. You can request deletion at any time.
07 Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you. Contact us at contact@ornata.ag and we'll respond within a reasonable time. If you have a concern about how we've handled your information, you may also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
